Use cases · DWG to IFC and Revit

From 2D DWG to a 3D IFC model, with a birth certificate on every element.

AI reads the structural set; repeatable arithmetic from the reading you confirmed places every element. The result is an IFC model of the structure, foundations to roof - columns, beams, slabs, walls, footings, steel members - where each element says which sheet, which schedule row and which rule produced it.

Who it is for

The steps

  1. 01

    Read the set

Sheet roles, layer meanings, levels, grids, schedules and cross-sections are read, checked against the drawing and shown to you to confirm before a single element exists.

Ask in your own words, or type /ingest

  2. 02

    Build the model

The elements are placed on the building's own grid and levels, the IFC is checked, and a viewer opens in your browser.

Ask in your own words, or type /3d

  3. 03

    Graded by ten checks

In the same step, ten checks look at supports, overlaps, extents, rebar and more; every failure becomes a decision or a query, never hidden.

What you get

  • IFC4 model with typed, quantified elements
  • A 3D viewer with the evidence on each element
  • The decision sheet: what each check found and what was decided

Every figure names its scope; none is a promise for every drawing set.

Questions

Is this a DWG to Revit converter?
No. It reads the structural set and builds a model of what is drawn, with evidence on every element; it does not convert CAD entities one for one. Revit opens the result through IFC.
Does it work with architectural sets?
The structural set is where it is strongest today. Architectural walls and openings are read and flagged; full architectural modelling is on the roadmap.
Can I open it in Revit?
Yes, through IFC. A direct Revit add-in is planned.
What if the drawings disagree?
Conflicts are questions, never averages: both values are recorded, the conservative reading applied and flagged, and a query drafted.
